Decorations
Make lots of recipes with carrots!
Set up a “rabbit den” with chairs and sheets over top. The kids can hang out in it like real rabbits.
Serve only rabbit food – examples, veggies and dip, carrot cake, raisins or raisinettes (I know, rabbit dropping, gross!)
Favors
Bunny Ears - have the kids make their own bunny ears (use pipe cleaners or headbands and pink construction paper.)
Easter Baskets – fill baskets with candy, eggs and some bunny toys!
Games
Pin the cotton tail on the bunny – Cut out a cardboard (or poster board) silhouette of a bunny rabbit. Have the kids blindfolded try to put a cotton ball where the rabbit’s tail should be. The closest wins a prize.
Rabbit Scavenger Hunt – hide things around your house (carrots, cotton balls, rabbit ears, etc.) Have the children split into teams and find as many items as they can in a certain amount of time. OR you can just do an EGG HUNT?
Obstacle course – set up a course either on your yard or around your house. Have the kids “HOP” through it.
I HEAR you – One child wears bunny ears, and sits with their back toward the other children. The other kids hop towards the “bunny.” The “Bunny” can turn around anytime he/she wants, but the kids have to automatically stop when he/she turns. The first person to touch the “bunny” is the next “bunny.”
Rabbit Quiz
Crafts
Grass Heads – find inexpensive flower pots (white plastic ones are pennies at craft stores or home improvement stores.) Have the children decorate the pots like faces. Plant dirt and grass inside the pots. The kids will grow “hair” in a couple of days.
Bunny Noses – You will need an egg carton, pipe cleaners, scissors, markers and string for this craft. Give each child one part of the egg carton and have them color it. They can then add pipe cleaners to the sides for whiskers. Next you cut holes in the sides and add a string. Volia – a bunny nose!
