Crazy pancake cookbook. Find as many pancake recipes as possible (m&m, apple, choco chip, etc) create a book for each participant. On the last page ask them to come up with a yummy pancake recipe of their own. If you are brave, have some ingredients on hand for them to actually MAKE their pancakes.

Games
Pancake toss – Each child gets a partner and a spatula (they are CHEAP at your local dollar store) and each group gets a pancake (real or fake.) The partners start standing 1 foot away, across from each other. They each take a turn of flipping their pancake to their partner, if anyone doesn’t catch it, they are out! After each “round” the partners take a step back and flip! The last group that can keep their pancake off the ground wins!
Egg Race – Do relays that have to do with breakfast foods. Here are some examples: Egg on spoon relay, run with a pancake on spatula, toss pancakes into hula hoops, throw sausage into buckets, etc.
Waffle stacking race – Split the party into 2 teams, give them 10 waffles, fruit, icing, whipped cream, toothpicks, etc. and 10 minutes. Have the team stack the waffles while using the items you provide (plus their creativity.) Whoever either stacks them the highest or most unusual, etc wins.
Find the treasure – pour cereal into a large bowl. Hide some small prizes in the mix and have children “dig” for the treasure with the spoons.
Crafts
Cereal Necklaces – provide the kids with Cheerios, Fruit Loops, Apple Jacks and any other cereal with a “hole” in the middle. Have them create edible necklaces.
Decorate their own Pancakes/Waffles – bake the kids their own pancakes/waffles and have them decorate them. Let them use whipped cream, syrup, cherries, fruit, chocolate chips, sprinkles, etc. The only catch is, they have to eat their “creation!”
Create a placemat – Cut out different types of breakfast foods. Bacon, eggs, waffles, pancakes, cereal, fruit, juice, milk, coffee, etc. Have cut-outs of plates and silverware and have the party-goers decorate their settings by gluing their favorite foods. Use clear contact paper to cover the creation and send the placemats home as favors!!
